Every journey starts somewhere, and for me, my choreography journey began with Don't Wanna Dance by Thomas Rhett.
After being challenged by Bex and Pauline to have a go at creating my own dance, I decided to give it a go. I had no idea just how much I would enjoy the process, or that this would be the beginning of something I wanted to keep doing.
Turning a song into a dance is an interesting process. You're listening to the music, picking up the rhythm, trying different steps and working out how to make everything flow together. It's a bit of a puzzle, but a very enjoyable one when the pieces start to fit.
Don't Wanna Dance became my first published choreography in August 2025. Seeing my own dance published on CopperKnob was a pretty special milestone, and it gave me the confidence to keep experimenting with music and movement.
This was just the beginning. There have been plenty more songs, ideas and creative adventures since then, and I'm looking forward to seeing where the journey takes me.
